Southbound I-75 Exit Ramp Extension & Widening at SR 60

Project Description

Financial Project # 419194-1
Project Length: 1 mile
Estimated Construction Cost: $14.2 million
Contractor: Cone & Graham, Inc.
Start Date: April 12, 2013
Estimated Completion: Fall 2014

About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor is lengthening and widening the southbound I-75 exit ramp to State Road 60 (SR 60).

Once completed, the final traffic pattern will look like this: The southbound I-75 mainline will remain as is with three through-lanes. The southbound exit to SR 60 will have an auxiliary lane that begins about one mile north of the existing exit point and will become a two-lane ramp. This double-lane ramp will replace the existing single-lane ramp and extend toward SR 60 and connect to the existing four-lanes on the ramp at SR 60.

During construction, once the new ramp is in place, southbound I-75 traffic will be shifted to the right to allow the existing bridge decks over the CSX railroad and Woodberry Road to be rebuilt.

Lane Closure Hours:
Mainline I-75: 9:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
