About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor rehabilitated the concrete travel lanes and four interchange ramps of Interstate 275 from 54th Avenue South to 26th Avenue South in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Concrete roadway slabs were removed and replaced in whole or parts depending on the condition of each individual section.

Once all new slabs were constructed, a grinding process was used on the entire roadway (both old and new concrete slabs) in the project area to provide a smooth roadway surface.

Traffic Flow
The majority of the work was done during nighttime hours and the work was coordinated with major special events.

Night Work
In order to maintain the construction schedule and to minimize the impact to the traveling public, lane closures were done during nighttime hours as needed.

Lane Closure Hours
Northbound I-275: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Southbound I-275: 7:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
