About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) contractor is constructing a new ramp/bridge from northbound Interstate 275 to westbound County Road 296 (118th Avenue). This also includes constructing a new bridge for westbound CR 296 over eastbound 118th Avenue, constructing a new bridge over Roosevelt Boulevard, and widening a bridge over I-275.

This project also features milling and resurfacing of roadways, roadway widening, drainage and lighting improvements, traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, and intelligent transportation system components.

Currently, northbound I-275 motorists wanting to travel to westbound CR 296 must first merge with northbound Roosevelt Boulevard traffic, then merge to the left lane and make a left turn onto 28th St. North, then make a right turn onto CR 296.

When the project is completed, northbound I-275 motorists will be able to drive non-stop on the newly constructed roadway and bridges over Roosevelt Boulevard, 28th Street North and eastbound 118th Avenue and then merge with westbound CR 296.

Improvement highlights for this project include:

  • New non-stop connection from northbound I-275 to westbound County Road 296.
  • Widen the northbound I-275 ramp and bridge to Roosevelt Boulevard.
  • Improve lighting.
  • Improve drainage.

    Lane Closure Hours:
    * Mainline I-275 and ramps: 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
