About this Project
The Florida Department of Transportation has completed reconstructing and widening Alexander Street from a two-lane road to a four-lane divided highway from U.S. 92 to Interstate 4. A new entrance ramp was also constructed from Alexander St. to westbound I-4 (opened June 5, 2006). New signalization, signing and marking, and drainage systems were also installed.

Improvement highlights for this project included:

  • Widened Alexander Street from 2 lanes to 4 lanes.
  • Constructed new entrance ramp to westbound I-4.
  • Improved drainage.

* Alexander Street:
- 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. except within 600 feet of a signalized intersection.
- 8:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. within 600 feet of a signalized intersection.

* Interstate 4:
- 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
