5/24/2013 - I-75 Widening from Fowler Avenue to State Road 56

TAMPA -- One lane may be closed in each direction of I-75 just south of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (Exit 270) Thursday (May 30) night into Friday morning (May 31). The southbound closure will be from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.; the northbound closure from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

5/8/2012 - I-75 Widening from Fowler Avenue to State Road 56

NEW TAMPA -- Northbound I-75 traffic was switched to a temporary bridge over Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (Exit 270) May 8, 2012.

Drivers be alert!

> Be alert to the alignment change. South of the bridge, the travel lanes now curve to the right (towards the exit ramps), then straighten out and cross Bruce B. Downs, then curve to the left to rejoin the original alignment.

> The posted speed limit through the temporary lanes and bridge is 55 MPH.

> Northbound traffic will use the bridge for about 2 years as the two existing bridges are demolished and rebuilt.
